Summer Season 2011
A recap of the successful 2011 summer season at Capel Dewi Uchaf Country House.
We have had another wonderful season with so many guests visiting us again, it is great to see you all again. So much has happened throughout the summer, the weather has been fairly kind, especially the early months. We had contractors down by the river improving the fish facility which have been greatly improved, lots of fish were caught this year even though the contractors were working, so another sucessful season- look out for more information and offers next year. Much jam has been made from the soft fruit garden, we did not manage to attract a swarm of bees, so we can try again next year. I have planted another 500 daffodils ready for the spring. As I write, well almost, we are having our autumn clear up ready for the spring which we are looking forward to already. For now, the log fires are on, using our own sustainable wood, and there is plenty to enjoy here even in the colder weather.
Having started my accommodation business in 1992 we are proud to say we are still highly regarded in our sector of accommodation. There is a lot of competition in this beautiful county which has a wealth of wonderful places to visit. We have just completed a huge challenge and improved our fishing here at Capel Dewi Uchaf Country House, Salmon and Sewin are caught on our waters. Although we are not a working farm we have managed to keep a very olde worlde charm here on our land. You will see how much effort we have made to keep the traditional look and feel of our 34 acres. We practice a Green philosophy creating a haven for all kinds of wild life. Our mission is to share our wonderful home with guests who appreciate tradition with out a stuffy attitude.
